9* Cancer New Moon

9* Cancer New Moon

By Tara Sutphen

9* Cancer New Moon (no moon – starry dark sky, the time of dreaming), culminating July 1, 2011. The New Moon comes with a partial lunar eclipse, a time to leave behind grudges or bad habits. This Cancer New Moon is about coming back into the family fold, whether it is your family or family of friends. You are to figure out how you proceed and where you belong. You can start with your gut level reactions to the people surrounding you. Are you feeling content or unsatisfied. Is it you or them. Are they out of control emotionally or physically or is it you. We long to be with people who enrich our life experience. We don’t know where it comes from or why, but we come together with others that either give us the innate kindness and nourishment we crave or we are tested to our limits. Did we make a choice on the other side before we are born…at times we can hardly think so. As we have to face it, it is best when we are honest with ourselves and make the choice to have what we want instead of what we need. And sometimes what we think we want doesn’t serve our lives. There is a base logic that comes with our reality of food and shelter. And most of the time we have this emotional structure that tends to whirl our senses in “karmic khemistry”. We get caught up psychologically instead of reasonably.

Whether in love or in fighting, we have different levels of being in enamored bliss or disdain. Why do we have to experience situations, people, places and events, but we fall right into them. Not being able to avoid what we would rather never experience. Yet, the people we adore, it is heaven. Now is the time to stop stumbling on managing your life. Let go with what doesn’t work for you, and if you can’t then learn the reasons why and apply them to your grace and wisdom. There is a right way to manifest and a wrong way to handle situations and people. Many people make desperate choices, or over-react. The way to gain a steady life is making wise decisions and carefully selecting people, places and things. If your having a hard time and people aren’t being kind, know you are being given road signs and sometimes the only way to change is when the neon sign is blinking before you. Allow your life to be graceful.

We come together with those who help us learn and grow. Not always ‘easy street’. Our biggest challenge will be overreacting to anyone or anything. Love begins with you. Peace begins with you. Courage begins with you.

“I don’t know if I continue, even today, always liking myself. But what I learned to do many years ago was to forgive myself. It is very important for every human being to forgive herself or himself because if you live, you will make mistakes- it is inevitable. But once you do and you see the mistake, then you forgive yourself and say, ‘well, if I’d known better I’d have done better,’ that’s all. So you say to people who you think you may have injured, ‘I’m sorry,’ and then you say to yourself, ‘I’m sorry.’ If we all hold on to the mistake, we can’t see our own glory in the mirror because we have the mistake between our faces and the mirror; we can’t see what we’re capable of being. You can ask forgiveness of others, but in the end the real forgiveness is in one’s own self. I think that young men and women are so caught by the way they see themselves. Now mind you. When a larger society sees them as unattractive, as threats, as too black or too white or too poor or too fat or too thin or too sexual or too asexual, that’s rough. But you can overcome that. The real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself. If we don’t have that we never grow, we never learn, and sure as hell we should never teach.” ~Maya Angelou quotes (American Poet, b.1928)

Pass it on if you want….
