Full Cold Moon

Full Cold Moon

The Full Cold Moon (Native American) at 25* Gemini will culminate December 17, 2013 1:28am PST/4:28am EST (Farmers Almanac).

This Full Cold Moon is illuminating on how well we communicate with each other. We have an awful lot of gadgets with the internet and smart phones to frustrate or entertain us these days. Social media may be sidetracking us away from face to face communication and connection. We need to remember how to mingle and associate our minds with others. There are many lonely people in a majority of billions among us. Reach out with our hearts to those we love. And try and understand those we pass casually throughout our day. It takes building blocks and many steps to create meaningful relationships. Thoughtfulness is a virtue. It only takes a sentence to spark hope in someone who feels lost. Sometimes you may not feel friendly but if you give yourself a little push and make the effort, the rewards can be phenomenal.

We can make a lot of judgments, and we assess people rapidly on whether they could be a potential friend or colleague. We can generally tell in a matter of moments whether we enjoy or feel irritated by certain individuals. It usually takes some time to know which individuals we might not be compatible. And when we are not attuned, does that mean we don’t try and be respectful and open-minded. Another’s strengths may be our perfect business partner or wise counsel. We all know how to talk, but do we know how to listen. Do you say what you mean and mean what you say. Are you truthful with others, and speak without being hurtful or boastful. You can say plain truth and gain easy honesty. It’s not about being right, wrong, smarter or better, we want to come together in harmonious acceptance. Camaraderie is a learned behavior, when we are pleasant with every one, life is easier and less stressful. Not all and sundry are congruent, many people you will have to move away from to remain peaceful and compassionate. Gently turn away and rekindle what is good and healthy. A random kind word goes a long way with 95% of people. And those we already connect well, this is the moon to soak up the meeting of minds.

We come to gather with our clans and our societies…we can make the best of it or the worst…it is our choice.

“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible – the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family”~ Virginia Satir (American Psychotherapist and Educator, 1916-1988)

Although you would ideally do this meditation outTrack beneath the full moon, you can also experience it by imagining the moon and four directions as you are surrounded with magical energy … a rainbow of light. In the Goddess’ name, you open to the light. You can actually stand up and raise your palms to the sky or imagine this process of being energized and rejuvenated. Facing North you ask for solutions to your problems and experience many blessings. Facing East you seek solutions and prosperity while trusting yourself to make the right choices. Following many blessings, you turn to the South and ask for increased self-esteem and harmonious relationships with the people in your life. After the blessings, you turn to the West to face your destiny and ultimate potentials. Open your mind and release your courage. The ritual ends with the moon as your guiding light on the shadowed path. It illuminates your dreams as you walk steadfast and proceed on your earthly journey with an open heart. Track 2: A beautiful sleep programming version of the ritual. Listen as your cross over into sleep and explore the four directions into your dreams.
